If I replace my Carrier AirV, HO with the Atwood, will it continue to operate the heater?

With our AC units like the Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump # AT15028-22 they can be installed and wired to a thermostat that also controls a heater but the Atwood AC by itself does not control the heater. So as long as you have a standard style of thermostat this would work well.
