Upgrading to Larger Size Tires and Wheels on 2016 Little Guy T@G Camper
Question:
I have a 2016 Little Guy T@g trailer. The GVWR is 2200 lbs. Currently the trailer has 13inch wheels on it and Id like to upgrade to get a little more clearance. I was looking g at 15inch wheels but think they might be too big? Have you had any experience with these trailers to make a recommendation?

Generally speaking, larger tires can be added to a trailer as long as you have the needed wheel well and trailer frame clearance. I took a look at the specs for your 2016 Little Guy T@G Trailer and it looks like it came equipped with 175/80D13 tires (I do recommend verifying this by checking the side wall on your existing tires). This tire and wheel combo has an overall diameter/height of 24 inches and a width of 6.9 inches.
You will just want to make sure you have enough room beneath the fenders on your trailer and between the tire and frame to accommodate the difference in size of a larger tire. We typically recommend at least 3 inches of clearance below the fender and a 1/2 inch of frame clearance with the trailer loaded.
For example, an ST205/75R15 size tire like the Westlake Tire and Wheel Combo # LHAW320 that you were looking at will have a diameter/height of 27.1 inches and a width of 8.1 inches. This means the replacement will be 3.1 inches taller and 1.2 inches wider than your current tires. Also keep in mind that only half of the height difference (1.55 inches) will actually factor into raising the height of the camper.
This Westlake Tire and Wheel is a really nice option. The radial ply tire will be an upgrade over the Bias tires currently on your Little Guy Camper and the aluminum wheel will provide you with a really sleek look. This combo also comes with 2 years of complimentary roadside assistance for flat tire service. You will just want to make sure that the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern matches your current wheels.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this tire and wheel that you can also take a look at.
