Thickness of Roof for the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent Part # VP-543SP
Question:
I am wondering how tall is the supplied garnish on this fan. My van with insulation installed is 3 1/4inch thick on my ceiling and was wonder if I would need to also order the garnish extension piece to properly enclose it in.

The Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent part # VP-543SP will fit a roof from 1-1/2" - 2-1/2" thick out of the box. Since you have a 3-1/4" thick roof then you will need to use the Replacement Garnish Extension Ring for Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent part # BVA0228-01-46 which allows for a roof from 2-1/2" - 3-1/2" thick. I also recommend using the part # 344270KITW which comes with everything you need for installation.
