The issue you are describing could be either attributed to a lack of power rearching the lights or a poor ground. For starters, I would check the fuses and relays in the vehicle's fuse box. If the fuses and or relays are in working order then you can move on to testing the vehicle side connector with a circuit tester. Check each of the pins while the functions are activated, if the light doesn't illuminate then you will want to trace the wire responsible for that circuit back to the point of origin while checking for shorts. If the test lights shows all of the functions are in working order you will then need to move onto the trailer side.
Using a similar method you will want to test each light on the trailer with a 12 volt power source. If the light does not illuminate then you will again need to trace the wire responsible for that circuit back to the point of origin while checking for shorts. The final step would be to check the grounds for each light and the trailer connectors. Please let me know once the above has been completed and you still need further troubleshooting advice.
