Can Test Wire be Put On Brake Output Circuit of Trailer Wiring

can i energize the blue wire with out the trailer being hooked up

If you wanted to use a jumper wire from a 12 volt power source like the positive terminal of a car battery you certainly could energize the circuit to test the brakes if you wanted to.
We have 10 gauge wire sold as # 10-1-1 by the foot.
