Recommended Trailer Tires and Wheels for Adventure Trailer

Question:

I am building a adventure trailer, 2000 lbs axle and it has a roof top tent. I will be driving pavement mostly but will also do a lot of offroad driving, dirt road and jeep type trails. what 15/ 235 tires and wheels do you reccomend, radial or bias.

For your Adventure trailer, I recommend the Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Tire with 15" White Spoke Wheel # AM32545 if you have the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. This tire and wheel combination is rated for 2,540 lbs at 65 psi and speeds up to 81 mph. It also comes with the 2 year warranty that includes complementary roadside assistance.

If you have the 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern, then I recommend # TA92FR which have the same ratings and warranty.

These tires are radials and will wear better for your mostly pavement driving. They have and 8 ply rating, so the dirt roads will not be an issue and the Jeep trails will also be fine. Bias tires will be slightly better on the Jeep trails, but radial tires are better for the other two types of driving.
