Recommended Weight Distribution for Toy Hauler Tongue Weight 1,400-1,500 lbs
Question:
I have a toy hauler with a tongue weight ranging between 1,400 and 1,500 lbs. The Gross Trailer Weight is about 11,000 lbs. I like this BXW2000 but Im wondering if that will be overkill. I have looked at the Stait-Line RP66075 but I dont really like the fact that I would have to drill into my trailer from for the sway brackets. I also wondered about the BXW1506. I think the tongue weight on my trailer is pushing the envelope but wonder what thoughts you have? Thanks in advance!

The Strait Line Weight Distribution System part # RP66075 will be the better choice for your tongue weight range of 1,400 to 1,500 lbs. This system has the best sway control design on the market which fights to prevent sway before it starts. It does require some frame drilling though which I can understand is something you'd rather not do, but once it's done you'd be good to go. The holes do not affect the integrity of the frame either as the bolts being tightened where the holes are drilled compensates for that. For a hitch ball you'll want the part # C40008.
You'll also need a shank to go with this. Most likely you have a 2-1/2 inch hitch so you'd want the part # C17131.
