To install an electric brake controller, like the Prodigy P3 # 90195, in your 2008 Mazda B2300 you need to connect the red wire to the cold side of the truck's stop light switch. This will be the wire near the top of the brake pedal arm that is only hot when the brake pedal is pressed. I recommend using a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993, to test the wires for function and not try to go by color since vehicle manufacturers are often inconsistent on their wire coloring.

If I was going to use wire color to guess a wire to start testing, I would look for either a red or light green wire in that area.
