Recommended Aftermarket Underbed 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Hitch Option for 2016 GMC 2500 6-1/2 Bed
Question:
I have a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax Denali with 6 1/2foot bed with no factory 5th wheel capabilities. Im looking to buy a 5th wheel camper and looking at options to install a puck system and ball capability in my truck. My bed does not have pockets for this system so wondering what after market options I have. Would be looking at 5th wheel hitch for camper and gooseneck ball capabilities available to potentially tow gooseneck flat bed at times. I dont want rails in the bed of my truck. What options do I have?

The best option for you to have a clean bed without rails and have both the 5th wheel and Gooseneck hitch is to use the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs # BWGNRK1016 which also serves as the underbed rail system for the Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider # BWRVK3400. This combination will give you a clean bed when not in use, a gooseneck hitch, and a 5th wheel sliding hitch compatible with the underbed system that will allow you the turning clearance needed for your short bed truck.
You may also want to consider using the wiring harness # C56000 to add a second 7-way to the bed of your truck for clean connections when using a 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer.
