Wide Based Tire Chain Recommendation for Truck with Tire Size 265/75-17
Question:
Do I need wide based tire chains or regular tire chains to fit 265-75-17 bf Goodrich KO2 all terrain tires

Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 2009 RAM truck equipped with 265/75-17 tires we recommend the Pewag PWE3229S chains that are wide-based and all square linked . Since you have an offroad style of tire this would be a great choice to match that since the tread is probably wider and more squared off than non-off road style tires. We also recommend using # PW105 rubber adjusters to help keep chains centered and tight.
Be sure to check the owners manual of your truck for any tire chain restrictions as well.
