Kayak Carrier Recommendation for Thule Roof Rack on 2014 Ford Explorer
Question:
Hello, I have an older Pelican Apex II tandem kayak with a 36inch wide bottom and Im looking for the most compatible roof rack system for it. It would be mounted on a 2014 Ford Explorer with factory Thule cross bars. Im leaning towards the Malone J-Pro 2 but Id like your opinion. Thank you very much.

For the Thule roof rack you have installed on your 2014 Ford Explorer the Yakima JayLow part # Y04073 would be a fantastic option for a kayak carrier. It will fit the bars well and will carry your Pelecan Apex II tandem well too.
