Are There Any Specific Instructions for Mounting the RockyMounts LoBall # RKY1095
Question:
I would like to mount this part on a piece of wood 2 x 4 or something similar to go inside the truck bed. Is there a simple way to secure the part and piece of wood above so that it will hold the bikes? I will have a roof level truck cap so that bicycles will be inside. Regards,

The RockyMounts LoBall Truck Bed Bike Carrier # RKY1095 can be installed in a wide variety of ways. We actually have a review video (see attached) where our video team member installs it on a 2 x 10 in his truck. For this application he simply cut the board to match the width of his truck bed so it sat snug against the sides.
If you check out the video you can see that he just uses a few screws to secure the LoBall. I would just make sure that your screws are long enough to get a good grip into your 2 x 4.
