Best Place to Install Transmission Cooler on Vehicle

Question:

Where is the proper mounting location for this cooler? Can the transmission overcome the pressure of gravity or does it have to be mounted at the same level as the transmissionmy radiator is around one foot higher than the trans lines. Secondly does the cooleror associated lines need to be blead to function properly?

With transmission coolers like the Derale part # D13503 that you referenced you want to install them after the factory transmission cooler and then out in front of the radiator and AC condensor. That will give you the best cooling power. The cooler does not need to be installed lower than the transmission. The amount of line pressure that automatic transmissions put in the cooler line would be more than enough to overcome gravity. Because that they do not need to be bled either. It's not like the cooling system of a vehicle that has to be "burped".

I attached a help artice on transmission coolers for you to check out as well.
