In all likelihood the Curt battery box # C52090 will not be large enough to hold a car battery. This box is only 5-7/8" long x 3-1/2" wide x 5-3/8" tall which is the size of the average 5 amp breakaway battery for a trailer.
We do have larger boxes such as # 329-HM318BKS. Inside it is 14" long x 7-1/8" wide x 9-5/8" deep. If you can tell me the size of your battery and where you want to mount it I can make other recommendations.
