Question:

The Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain Tow Bar, part # RM-576, will include the safety cables, electrical wiring, and the quick disconnects. The base plates are not included with the Sterling tow bar and are vehicle specific, so they would have to be ordered separately for your 2010 GMC Canyon. I am including a link to the instructions on the Sterling tow bar and a link to a video review of the tow bar.
For your 2010 GMC Canyon I would recommend the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, part # 3122-1. These base plates will work on your Canyon as long as it is not a Z71 or an Xtreme model. If you have the Z71 model you will need to use the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, part # 3164-1. There is not a base plate kit for the Xtreme model. I am including a link to the base plates being installed on a 2010 Chevrolet Colorado, which is the same vehicle.
Since the tow bar already has the safety cables, you will just need the lighting for your Canyon and a supplemental braking system that most states are now requiring when flat towing.
For lighting, there are several options depending on your specific needs and how often you will towing the vehicle. I am including a link to an FAQ article that covers the various options so you can determine what would work best for you.
Most states now require a supplemental braking system on the vehicle being towed. The easiest to set up and use is the Roadmaster Even Brake, part # RM-9400. This is a proportional system that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the towing vehicle is braking. This reduces wear and tear on both vehicles and is the safest way to stop.
I am including a link to a series of FAQ articles on flat towing your vehicle.
