Parts Needed to Flat-Tow a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek with Manual Transmission

Hi, Going to purchase tow equipment for my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, manual transmission. Want to confirm this is all I need to tow 4 wheels down behind my Bigfoot Class C 30 foot motorhome with the Ford E450 front end. 1. In order to flat-tow your 2016 Subaru Crosstrek with all four wheels down you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, supplemental braking system, wiring harness, safety cables, and a possible high-low adapter. You may also need a few more items depending on which of the major components above that you select. Therefore, you do have most of the major components listed but there will still be a few more things needed to complete your setup.

For a base plate kit I recommend the Roadmaster EZ2 Base Plate Kit part # 52922-1A because it has removable arms which will make for a clean look while not in tow. This base plate kit will also allow you to use the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar part # RM-522 that you referenced which is an excellent choice. For the safety cables I recommend the RoadMaster Coiled Safety Cables part # RM-643 as the coiled design will prevent them from dragging.

For a braking system, the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System part # BLU37TR is another excellent choice. Then for the wiring harness, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15247 which also has a coiled design that will prevent them from dragging.
