Will the Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack fit a 2011 Hyundai Veracruz without Interfering with Exhaust Flow

Question:

Will this work on a 2011 Hyundai Veracruz? the hitch is essentially parallel to the dual exhaust pipes, and im concerned that the exhaust will be aligned with the bike tires and melt them. thank you

The Swagman XTC4 bike rack # S64665 has a shank that actually comes out of the hitch and raises the bike rack up 3 inches for better ground clearance. I would recommend measuring 3 inches up from the top of your trailer hitch to see if the extra height would bring the wheels out of direct contact with the flow of the exhaust.

You could alternatively add some exhaust tips to redirect the flow away from the bike rack. This would give you more options when choosing a bike rack, as the exhaust would not be a factor. The tips are matched to the diameter of the exhaust pipe. You can see our selection, listed by diameter, at the provided link.
