Lippert SolidFold Steps for a 24-1/4 Inch Door Opening
Question:
How do you measure door width? The real opening that I could get the steps through when folding up is 24 1/4 inches from flange to flange. The inside of the flanges that the screen door sits up against is 25 1/2 inches from flange to flange. Do I order a LC60278024 ? My wife has problems stepping up 8 inches. I plan on moving the steps to 6 inch heights. Im looking at Lippert because the steps are screwed on and seem easy to move and the entry step is wide. Of course that would void warranty, but is not a concern.

For the Lippert SolidSteps you would want to go by the narrowest width measurement at the door opening. For you that seems to be 24-1/4 inches so your best option is # LC698799. Like you said, the SolidFold steps come in an 8 inch rise, so any modification to get to 6 inches would void the warranty as you mentioned.
