Lock Recommendation for Trunk Mounted Bike Rack

Question:

Can the HRF2 and my bike be locked to my 2010 Lexus RX350? I have a roof rack with cross bars. Would a long cable lock work? I also saw those passive locks to secure just the rack to the car.

The best lock solution we have for the Hollywood Rack Over the Top part # HRF2 is going to be the Thule Passive Security Strap part # TH533. When you loop this around the rack and then close the circle end in the rear door there's no way to remove the rack from the vehicle without opening the rear door.

You could use the cable lock part # e98891 if you wanted to route it through the rack and then the roof rack but I wouldn't want a cable draped on the roof of a vehicle as I am driving down the highway.
