Best Travel Trailer Cover Recommendation for Heartland Mallard IDM245 for Sun and Wind Exposure
Question:
I am a serious “potential” customer for the ADCO AD87ZR Olefin Travel Trailer Cover and I have some questions before I decide to purchase it. I have a Heartland Mallard IDM245 travel trailer that is 26’ from rear bumper to apex of the curvature of the front. Questions that I have: • I will be moving to Phoenix Arizona and my primary reason for purchasing this cover is UV sun blockage. I have heard others say that it blocks out 99.8 of the UV rays. Could you provide me with a bit more detail with this product in reference with protection from the sun and wind? Do you think this product will stand up for use in Arizona sun? My trailer will be stored in an open storage facility. • I liked how easy the video explained on how to install the cover however, my trailer does not have a latter built on to it and I am unsure if my trailer’s roof will support my weight. I haven’t read anything from the manufacture maximum weight for the roof. In your experience, do you think my trailer can support 200lbs on the roof? • Does this product come with cleaning, general care, and application instructions? • How well does this cover protect from dust? Thank you for your assistance in answering my questions.

For your Heartland Mallard IDM245 travel trailer that is 26 feet from bumper to apex of the curve on the front of your trailer our best option for UV protection is the Adco Olefin RV Cover # AD87ZR. The top material is Olefin which is considered to be the best material for sun protection. If there's a cover we offer designed for Arizona sun it is this one. It's also considered as the best option for wind exposure too so for your application it would be a great solution.
Only Heartland will be able to tell you if the roof of your vehicle can support your weight but I would be surprised if it couldn't. The instructions do include how to clean the cover as well.
