Gorilla Lift
Question:
My trailer gate is 6foot 6inch long, will this lift still work?

I reached out to my contact at Gorilla Lift and they said that unit is made for tailgates that are between 4 to 6 feet. My contact has seen this product being used on a 7 foot tailgate, however the springs may not be able to support a tailgate that large for an extended period of time.
The Rack'em Double Barrel Utility Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist # RA-27C will work on a 6 foot 6 inch gate. According to the manufacturer, mount the top of the power plate at 44 inches from the bottom.
