Recommended Metric Bolt for the Trailer Fender Mounting Brackets Part # CE26065PGA

Question:

The recommended product is 3/8inch carriage bolt, but i need to finish my homemade trailer together by Thurs. Im building it out using metric since itll be hauling around a japanese sportbike. Do you know if a M10 carriage bolt would fit in this bracket and fender metioned above or would I need to go down to M8? Would the M8 fit in the square well enough to tighten a nut?

The Mounting Brackets for Trailer Fender part # CE26065PGA is designed to accept a 3/8" (0.375") carriage bolt like part # LC118155 so long as the fender has square holes. If you wanted to use a metric bolt then the correct size would be an M8 as the diameter of an M8 bolt is .3150". There would be no issues using a M8 bolt with this bracket.
