Recommended B&W 5th Wheel Hitch for 2018 Ram 2500 with Factory Tow Prep Package

We already have a Reese Revolution king pin. Just purchased a 2018 Ram 2500 SWB with factory installed fifth-wheel system. Are we making a good choice by purchasing the Reese #30160 from y’all?

Reese's 5th wheel hitch # RP30918 for the Ram factory prep package is a solid 20K hitch that gives you the convenience of rail-free drop-in installation in your Ram truck's puck system. If this fits your budget then it is an excellent choice. Reese customer support is very good.

If you have room to stretch a bit on price I suggest considering the B&W Companion hitch # BWRVK3600 which also fits your factory prep package. This hitch has a 25K rating which instantly gives you a whole lot more safety margin. That extra capacity tends to mean more reliable operation and a longer working lifetime before normal periodic maintenance is required.
