Can Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 be Exposed to Rain

Question and a comment......... The controller must be totally waterproof to mount on the frame? It looks like there are manual adjustment buttons on the unit that may be hard to make waterproof. What is the anticipated longevity on the exterior of a trailer given extreme temps, ice, dust, rain, snow, and road salt will be vaporized all over it? Comment...... This looks like it should be standard equipment on any new trailer. This ought to be marketed heavily to the manufacturers. It could be a great feature to market an RV brand that would set them apart from the competition! It would be great to be able to hook up any appropriate tow vehicle and go, right off the RV sales lot. Should be a good value too when installed at the factory.........

The Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 was designed to be mounted to the frames of vehicles that are exposed to all kinds of weather from rain and snow. It was also designed to last a long time without issue. It's very new so we don't have specific examples of this lasting for "X" amount of years but it comes with a 3 year warranty and would easily last much longer than that.

As long as the tow vehicle has an active 12 volt power source for it to draw power from this can work on basically anything and is a great choice for anyone towing!
