If you do not have a roof rack with cross bars that run from side to side on your 2011 GMC Terrain you will need to get the Thule Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401, 53" WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420, as well as locks # TH450400.

For a roof top bike rack for the top of your vehicle that uses a fork mount to attach to the bike to the rack you would want a Thule FastRide Bike Rack # TH95JV. This rack is lockable.

If your previous rack attaches to your bike with both wheels being on the bike you should have more clearance to open the hatch of your vehicle with the FastRide. The reason for this is that the overall length of your bike will be reduced if you use the FastRide rack since the front wheel will be removed.
