Replacement Safety Cables for Blue Ox Tow Bar

Question:

I own the Blue Ox towing system but the safety cables are S hooks with the rubber clasp that keeps breaking - what are my options other than to keep changing those rubber clasp?.........towing a 2015 Jeep Sahara Wrangler 4Dr Thanks

It sounds like you have the Blue Ox Acclaim Tow Bar # BX4330 that comes with safety cables that use the rubber clasp like you are describing. We don't have a replacement clasp that will offer better protection from damage, so your best option will be to simply switch to different safety chains.

I recommend the Blue Ox 7 Foot Safety Cables # BX88196. This chains feature the same S-hook but they use the more standard metal keepers to ensure a secure connection. They have a capacity of 7,500 pounds and a coiled design to keep the cables off the ground.
