The Loadstar ST175/80D13 trailer tire, # AM1ST76, is a good tire for a pop up camper. But if you will be towing the trailer often or over long distances, a radial tire, # AM10199, would be a better choice.

Radial tires track better and offers more contact with the ground. More ground contact improves traction and will provide better tread wear. Radial tires are also have more stability than a bias ply tire.

Radials also run cooler if they are not overloaded. This helps the tire last longer.

Both of the above tires are rated for 1,360 pounds at 50 psi. The radial tire fits 13 x 4-1/2 inch and 13 x 5 inch rims. The bias tire fits 13 x 4-1/2 inch rims. Both tires are rated for 65 miles per hour.

I have included a link to our trailer tire FAQ article for you.
