Can Transmission Cooler be Filled Prior to Installing on a 2012 Toyota Sienna
Question:
Hello, I am looking to install a trans cooler on my 2012 Toyota Sienna. This vehicle has a sealed transmission, and I know that by adding the cooler I will be increasing the internal volume of the transmission, and therefore, the amount of fluid required. Should I fill the cooler with fluid prior to installing it? Thanks,

When installing a transmission cooler like part # D13503 on your 2012 Toyota Sienna you definitely can fill it up prior to the installation. Just be mindful that you may potentially lose some of the transmission fluid during the installation so I would get some extra just in case.
