What is Sleeve Stuck on Trailer Axle Spindle
Question:
Hi, After finally getting the hubs removed from my old 1988 trailer one hub took a couple of hours, I found that one spindle had what looked like a nut or sleeve of some sort thats stuck, while the other spindle didnt have that same part attached see in pics. Im installing new hubs, but before i install them, should I try to remove this part on the one spindle or does this mean i have a bigger problem? Thanks

The picture didn't make it though but it sounds like maybe a bearing race is stuck on the spindle. Does the sleeve look like the part # L44610? If so, then it's a race and it would need to come off.
I attached a link to a video on removing hubs for you to check out as well.
