Recommended Hub/Drum and Brake Assembly Recommendation for Dexter 2,000 lb Axle

Question:

I have a Dexter Axle P-11/slr. Can we determine the bearing size by this information or do we have to measure. There was a sticker on the axle that said 2000 Lb capacity. I need backing plates and hubs/drums, looking for 7inch brakes, camper has 4 lug 12inch tires/wheels.

You gave me enough info to be able to pick out the correct hub/drums for you axle. What you'll want is the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-276-5UC3. This hub will fit your spindle and has the bolt pattern of 4 on 4 inch that you need.

Then for a brake assembly kit we have the part # 23-47-48 which comes with the correct left and right hand assemblies.
