Can 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Rear Hatch Open without Hitting Rhino-Rack Steel Cargo Basket # RMCB02
Question:
I have a 2017 jeep grand Cherokee with rhino vortex aero rack. Want to add 57 inch basket. When I open back hatch, there is only about 15 inches between back rack and open hatch. Is there enough room so that the basket wont hit the fully open hatch or are the mounts adjustible so that the portion of the basket that extends beyond the back rack can be shortened?

The mounting hardware for the Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket # RMCB02 can slide front to back. What you can do is place the rear mounting hardware as far back on the basket as it can go which will keep the basket as far forward on the bars as it can go. That will allow you to open the rear hatch on your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee without making contact with the basket!
