Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2014 Nissan Frontier
Question:
What would be the right ball mount to go with a class iii hitch for a 2014 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x without factory tow package. Would be for towing a 1996 coleman popup. Thank you.

The right ball mount is going to be the one that allows you to tow the trailer level. To figure out which ball mounts will do that there are a couple of measurements needed. On the 2014 Nissan Frontier measure from the ground up to the top of the receiver opening. On the trailer, make sure the trailer is level and measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler.
If the vehicle measurement is higher the difference is the amount of drop you will need. If the trailer is higher the difference is the amount of rise you will need. I have linked a help article that explains the measurements.
The other option is to go with an adjustable ball mount such as # MT70067. This ball mount offers a maximum 10 inch drop or 8 inch rise adjustable in increments of 1-1/2 inches. It takes a ball with a 1 inch diameter shank. For a compatible 2 inch ball use # 63845. Or if your trailer requires a 2-5/16 inch ball you can use # 63847. Don't forget a hitch pin # PC3 or a lock # e98880.
