Sundowner made both bumper-pull A-frame trailers and gooseneck trailers in 1998 but it sounds like you have a bumper-pull A-frame type and need an electric tongue jack. We like to suggest using an electric tongue jack with more weight capacity than you will actually need, since this this tends to improve both reliability and the jack's working lifespan.
One of the best options is the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR. Unlike most jacks, this one has stops that prevent over extending or retracting the jack foot causing damage. It also has 23" of lift plus a drop-foot to give you additional extention.
