Will A Weight Distribution Stop Sway on a Trailer With the Weight Loaded at the Rear of the Trailer
Question:
If a single axle trailer is below the gross weight but heavy on the rear compaired to the toung will a weight distributing hitch reduce sway and make the trailer towable.

If the weight of the trailer is largely on the rear of the trailer a weight distribution system will not prevent sway. The trailer will need to be loaded with as much weight on the front of the trailer as possible for a weight distribution system to work effectively.
The kind of sway that you will see when you have too much weight on the rear of the trailer cannot be fixed with a weight distribution system. The only solution is to put more of the weight on the front of the trailer.
