How to Carry Bike Without Horizontal Top Tube on Hanging Bike Rack
Question:
I am looking to buy a Soris bike rack for my Mazda 3, but one of the two bikes does not have a crossbar. Will this bike rack be suitable.

There's an adapter made specifically for allowing bikes like yours that do not have a horizontal top tube to be carried on a hanging bike rack like the Saris Bones # SA801BL that you mentioned.
What you'd need is the adapter part # UB01. This attaches to the steering stem and the seat post to provide the attachment point for the rack. Check out the review video I attached for more info as well.
