Installing Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement on 2013 Ford F-150 with 10 Inch Frame to Axle Gap
Question:
I have a totally stock 2013 f15O 4x4 crew cab. I was looking at the Timbren 1504d for the rear. I have the HDPP heavy duty payoload package so the rear sits up higher than most. The distant between the frame and axle is 10 inches. So will the Timbren and the spacer supplied be enough? Or do I need an additional spacers too? 10 inch gap front the bottom of the frame to the axle top. I just cant find the specs for the brackets and timbrens

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFR1504D referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2013 Ford F-150. I spoke with my contact at Timbren regarding the 10 inch gap you measured between the frame and axle on your truck. He stated that the total height of the spring, bracket, and included spacer will be about 7-1/2 inches. He recommended adding an additional Spacer # A25723-90AH00 to get the system up to the desired height on your truck. This will allow for a 1-1/2 inch gap between the spring and contact point, which is within the range suggested by Timbren.
When using a spacer like this, you will need to provide a longer, Grade 5 or higher bolt which can be sourced from a local hardware store.
I have attached the complete installation instructions for this system that you can check out, along with a short video demonstration that you can review.
