Compatibility of Weight Distribution System on Aluminum Trailer Frame

I have an aluminum toy hauler. it is light at only 3,900 pounds but all of the amenities are in the front which added with battery and LP puts the tongue weight at 800# before I load it. I was looking at #49570 for a weight distribution but the width of the tongue bar is only 2 inches on each side and in the product video the tongue hangers are 2 and 3/4. Can I still put them on my trailer or do I need to look at a different product?

The Pro Series Weight Distribution Kit with Shank # 49570 will allow the hangers to fit your frame. The issue you may run into is two-fold. First, the tongue weight may actually get lighter when you load the back of the trailer depending on how the manufacturer made the trailer. Second, the use of a weight distribution system may not work on an aluminum frame. We recommend consulting with the trailer manufacturer to have them determine if weight distribution can safely be utilized on their frames as aluminum is a much softer metal than steel.
