How to Install Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier on 2018 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon w Factory Rack

I purchased this lift assist, and then was told by Thule that my 2018 with factory installed roof rack was not compatible. Is this true or false? Is something out there that I can retro fit to keep my Thule product?? Missing the water

The Hullavator Pro part # TH898 that you referenced requires a set of aftermarket crossbars with a bit of overhang to install. So for your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon you'd need to install an aftermarket roof rack.
For that you'd want the Thule Aeroblade roof rack part numbers # TH711200, # TH460R, and # THKIT4063 and you'd be set to carry your Hullavator.
