The camera,is it water proof or water resistant?

The camera part of the Hopkins Rear View Camera with Backup Sensors, # HM60195VA, is water resistant. It will work in normal rainy conditions. It is not considered waterproof. To be waterproof, it would have to be able to be submerged under water for a certain amount of time and still function.
