Extending Kwikee 32 Series Steps to Perform Maintenance or Replace Parts

Question:

I just received the series 32 Lippert Kwikee steps LC3722617 i ordered from etrailer.com. I just bolted the steps up to the coach and need to extend them to install the control module and light. How do you extend the steps manually without power? Second question: will my older step controller Kwikee PN-909506000 work with this unit?

You will need to apply 12 volt power to the proper wire(s) to extend the steps. You can use a 12 volt battery for this. Unplug the motor from the control unit and apply power to the red motor wire only while grounding the yellow wire.

You would need the newer control unit # LC379146. But I am not sure why you would need it since you have replaced the steps with a whole new set.
