Bike Rack Recommendation to Attach to Ball Mount for Carrying Mountain Bike

Question:

I am considering the bike rack C18013 I watched the video and noticed the bikes used. I have mountain bikes, which the handle bars are wider and I have a 2016 ram 2500 which has a big over hang on top of the tailgate. Will this still work?

When carrying bikes with the Curt Clamp-On 3 Bike Rack # C18013 that you referenced you do end up carrying the closest bike pretty close to the rear tailgate. If you check out the picture I attached you'll see a similar bike with wider bars actually that actually goes over the top of the tailgate. If you have wide bars you'd most likely end up with tailgate interference of having the bars go over the top of the tailgate.

The Swagman XCS part # S64664 might be the better towing bike rack solution as it holds the bikes a bit further out than the Curt. Check out the review video I attached for more info as well.
