Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver with More Drop
Question:
I bought a new 2500 Ram and it needs the 2 1/2inch square for our equalizing hitch assembly. Also, we would like to have 4-5 inches more drop than the one that came with our equalizing hitch assy. I have looked at your EO90-02-4800, and it looks like one needed, but would like one with about 9inch drop. The vertical part on the hitch adapter piece needs to be 2inch Is there any hope of finding one of these? Thanks

For your 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver, the shank with the most drop is the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch - 10" Rise/6" Drop # EQ90-02-4900. This will give you 2 inches more drop than the # EQ90-02-4800 you referenced.
Depending on your system you may alternatively be able to use a shank like the Reese Weight Dist Shank - Drop Only - 11" Long - 7-5/8", 8-5/8" Drop # RP3344 with a sleeve reducer like # 325-GH-007. This is not ideal but in some cases can work depending on the hitch capacity and the weight distribution system used.
