Comparing Kuat Sherpa and NV Bike Racks

Question:

What is the difference between the Kuat hitch bike racks? One better than the other for a 2017 Forester? Do you think that is the best option for that vehicle? I’m rather short and small so need something super easy to operate and install.

The Kuat NV part # NV22G and the Sherpa part # SH22G are both very nice bike racks that we recommend highly. You can't go wrong with either but the NV is considered to be the nicer of the two. It has a built-in repair stand to make working on a bike while on the trail a bit easier and has wider trays for accomodating wider tire width of up to 4.8 inches compare to the Sherpa which has a max width of 3 inches.

The advantage the Sherpa has is weight. It only weighs 32 lbs whereas the NV weighs 52 lbs. Since they are very similar aside from that I'd give the edge to the Sherpa for the weight and price difference.
