Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for Long Bed Truck with B&W Gooseneck Hitch Installed

Question:

We just purchased a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 that already has a BandW hide a ball hitch installed. We previously had a Pull-Rite Superglide hitch that we used with mounted rails in our Ford F250. Im trying to find out what I need to do now. Is the Curt or Demco 5th wheel adapter ok to use with our slider hitch or are we better off just getting the BandW Companion sliding hitch? Also, does the BandW sliding hitch operate the same as the Pull Rite? I know we dont have a short bed truck anymore, but my husband still wants the slider hitch. Last, if we do buy the BandW Companion is there anything else we need to purchase with it for installation? Thank you.

Since you have a truck that has a B and W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch installed and the truck bed is a long bed your best option is the fixed B&W Companion hitch part # BWRVK3500. Since you have a long bed there's no need for a slider hitch which will be much heavier and will have more moving parts. Also you can't use an auto sliding fifth wheel hitch with a Turnoverball hitch either.
