Will the Thule OutWay 3 Trunk Mount Bike Rack Fit a 2006 Mazda Tribute and 2011 Acura CSX

Question:

I have a 2006 Mazda Trribute which is basically a Ford Escape and I also have a 2011 Acura CSX, which is a 2011 Honda Civic 4 door. I want a 3 bike trunk mount carrier that will work with both Vehicles. Can i use the Thule th56bv Outway 3 Bike Trunk Mount Carrier?

According to Thule, the OutWay 3 Trunk Mount Bike Rack, # TH56BV, will fit the 2006 Mazda Tribute. And as you might expect, it also fits a 2006 Ford Escape in case you were wondering.

It gets a little more interesting from there. Thule says that it will also fit a 2011 Honda Civic 4-door, but they only list the Canadian version of the 2011 Acura CSX as being a fit. Apparently, according to the research I did, the CSX is only available in Canada. So it would appear that the rack will fit both vehicles.

If you will be carrying women's, children's, or alternative frame bikes, I recommend using the Adapter Bar, # TH982XT, in order to carry the bikes more level. I have included a link to a video showing how the adapter works.
