Can the Valterra RV Water Tank # R8036 be Used as a Grey Water Tank
Question:
Hello, Im about to buy this tank for fresh water in my trailer. Its also the perfect size for my matching grey water tank. Is there any reason I cannot use this for grey water? Also, can I drill and use standard abs fittings and glue for the grey water installation. Thank you,

If you wanted to get 2 of the Valterra RV Water Tank # R8036 and use one for fresh water and the other for grey water you can but there are a few problems with this.
The first, as you noted, is that this tank wouldn't have the correct fittings for your application. If you are handy and can do some drilling and use glue to install some compatible fittings then that takes care of one problem.
The second problem is the design of the tank itself. Grey water tanks have a slope to them that causes the water to drain towards one spot. Since water pumps are used for fresh water the tank in question lays pretty flat so you would likely have a difficult time draining it properly.
