Recommended Air Spring System for 2016 Ford F-150 with 5th Wheel Hitch

Question:

I recently purchased an airbag kit for my 2016 F150 rear axle. Turns out this kit wont work due to my 5th wheel mounts. So a return was initiated and it is being returned. Do you have any other airbag kits out there that would work with 5th wheel brackets? Or with those do you need to move onto something else? Thanks,

Most of the air spring systems available for your 2016 Ford F-150, as you have found, do mount to the outside of the frame rail which will interfere with an in-bed hitch. For a system that mounts instead to the bottom of the frame rail, I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 # AL57385 if your truck has 4WD or # AL57268 if you have 2WD. The mounting hardware for these springs will not interfere with components from your existing fifth-wheel hitch.

These 5,000 pound capacity springs will do a great job of providing load-leveling support, reducing strain on the rear suspension and improving safety and your ride quality. I have attached the installation instructions that you can also take a look at.
