We have a large selection of Thule roof boxes available, most of which are designed to fit factory aero-style crossbars like what are on your Subaru Forester.

I recommend taking a look at the Thule Force XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH6358B. This is a really nice, aerodynamic cargo box that features 18 cubic feet of carrying capacity and a dual-side-opening lid that will let you load and unload gear from either side of the vehicle. This box will fit any style of crossbar that is no wider than 3-1/2 inches or taller than 1-11/16 inches. I recommend taking a couple quick measurements on your Forester's crossbars to confirm that this box will fit.

One other dimension you will want to take a look at is the rear hatch clearance on the vehicle. This will let you determine if the rear of the cargo box will interfere at all with opening the rear hatch on your Forester. You will want to take a measurement from the front crossbar to the line where the roof and hatch meet. In order for there to be no interference issues with this particular cargo box, this measurement on your vehicle will need to be at least 51-1/8 inches.
