Considerations for Selecting RV Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier for Use on Lance Travel Trailer

I was wondering if you guys had a bike rack that would fit on my 2016 Lance 2185 travel trailer? Also looking for something to mount my Honda 2000 generator. Thanks.

We have an A-frame-mount cargo tray from Stromberg Carlson # CC-255 that offers a 300-lb weight capacity. A Honda EU2200i generator which is 20 x 11.5-inches and 46-lbs dry will fit nicely. We have a similar Stromberg Carlson bike rack holder, part # CC-275, that allows mounting of a hitch-type RV rack like the Swagman Trailhead # S63381. Of course, only one of these two items can be installed at a given time.

Often the trailer maker will be able to look up your trailer VIN and offer suggestions for which type of rack will work best on your specific trailer and for the number of bikes you need to transport. The weight capacities of trailer components like ladders, bumpers and hitches can vary quite a bit and if you have a certain total bike weight to transport one of these installation points may well be better than another. If you have only two average-weight bikes a ladder mount bike rack can work well but if you have heavier bikes you may need a hitch-mount rack instead.
