Do you know if the Thule Force XL will fit on a 2017 Honda Odyssey?

For the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box # TH6356B to fit on a vehicle without interfering with the rear hatch opening fully the vehicle should have a distance of at least 41-7/8-inches from the center of the front crossbar to the rear of the roof where it meets the hatch. If the distance from the center of the front bar to this roof/hatch seam is this 41-7/8-inches or more then the box will fit without contacting the hatch.

If you do not have roof rack you will need to install one in order to mount a cargo box. The lowest-cost rack that fits the front-to-back side rails on your roof is the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack - Aero Crossbars - Raised, Factory Side Rails - Aluminum - 58" Long # MPG216. I strongly recommend an accessory step like the Tire Step # HE4040 or the Telesteps Folding Step # TE97FR to give you easier access to the Odyssey's roof for loading and unloading processes. The Topline is a tire-mounted step that slips over either rear tire while the Telesteps step is a free-standing step stool that you can place and use anywhere you need it. I own one of these and it is as handy around the house and garage as when loading items on our vehicles' roofs.
